Copernicus, Einstein… Who’s Next? You! – Entrepreneurship Ideas
Successful entrepreneurs don’t necessarily think of others as a role model. They think of themselves as role models to others.
They inspire others to lead a life like theirs and become a beacon of support to others by being a successful role model.
One should clearly think in terms of all vertical while operating a successful business, which becomes kind of a guide to others vying to operate their own ventures.
So what is the hallmark of a successful entrepreneur? It is their way of thinking. The brain is a mysterious yet amazing organ. It is just like a muscle—the more you utilize it, the more you train it, the stronger it gets. It gets them places. As somebody rightly said, Success doesn’t circulate within ‘non-thinkers’. Which brings us to another question: Is the IQ score a prerequisite for business intelligence?
People would like to differ in their opinions regarding this. Peter Drucker, the founder of modern management doesn’t have the IQ level of William James Sidis, the American child prodigy with exceptional mathematical abilities, and an IQ score of 250—300 (the highest IQ score in the world) and a claimed mastery of many languages. It is the presence of mind over matter and the ability to think clearly in face of obstacles which really matter.
1. Looking at Opportunity
Leaders differ in their way of looking at an opportunity. They do not wait for opportunities to knock on their door but create them. Thinkers change from the executors only in the notion of opportunities. Jack Welch, an innovator at the best in GE, changed the way of looking at opportunity.
2. Get Addicted to ‘Thinking’
One sure thing all entrepreneurs will tell you is that they are addicted to thinking. Not lazy thinking but productive thinking which promises an output. Business thinking refers to two definite functions such as innovation and marketing. Leaders and thinkers don’t stick to the “bad luck” excuse, because that’s what it is—an excuse—and leaders don’t make excuses.
So how to go about it? Be confident about your mission, set a goal; a benchmark for yourself. Think about how you want to achieve it and work towards it—not just think.
How to Become a Thinker Then?
Engage with positive-minded people and communicate.
Hone your management skills and work on your personality. Conscious thinking takes conscious efforts. Put some effort, and work on your willpower. Read books and interpret its different meanings.
3. Tap Your Thoughts and Emotions
Keeping a journal of your thoughts allow you to leisurely go through it at a later stage. You can easily follow your pattern of “musings and thinkings” and identify how you feel about certain things. It helps with productivity, keeps you fresh and alert, and most of all acts like a pensive.
4. Have as Many “Brain Foods” as Possible
Having a good diet of natural brain stimulants keeps the thinker thinking. Eat as much as brain food such as berries, salmon, walnuts, and green tea. Having a stable diet of brain food is a must so that you don’t feel drained and exhausted, which can really hamper thinking and productivity.
5. Best Time to Take a Decision
A word of advice to those taking decisions—Thinkers don’t make a decision in the evenings—when the brain gets low glucose and you tend to feel sluggish. The possibility of making better decisions is higher in the mornings. It is true that the thinking capacity is at its peak in the mornings, as that is the time when the brain is at its freshest and unencumbered.
It is always advisable to think over a major decision and mull over the pros and cons. Quick decisions also might need to be taken, but allow yourself some time to ponder over and think of the best solution.
